GENERAL 2023
Mountain View Fire & Rescue
Commissioner Position No. 1
I have been a resident of Fire District 44 / Mountain View Fire and Rescue for 32 years and a firefighter in the region for 35 years, recently retired.
I have seen much change in the District over the years, population growth, building and increase in calls for service. The Fire Service is also changing. With these changes come a need to support our firefighters with more training, updated equipment, while being financially responsible to the citizens.
While working as a Firefighter / Captain I was responsible for projects that included managing budgets. I have experience with working to bring people together and build consensus. I have been in the position to make difficult decisions and will use these skills as a commissioner for the District. I would be honored to be your next Fire Commissioner.
As your Fire Commissioner, I will work to ensure that our Fire District provides exceptional emergency services to our community in a financially responsible manner. I will do this knowing that my family and yours depend on our Fire District to protect our homes and rescue our loved ones.
Providing exceptional service requires that I work to ensure that our Fire District is ready to serve. This means that our firefighters respond quickly, arrive well-trained and equipped, and serve with compassion.
To achieve these goals in a financially responsible manner, I will draw on my life experiences as a firefighter, chief officer of a regional fire district, business owner, attorney, fire commissioner, and member of this community for 35 years. This experience allows me to provide a positive knowledgeable voice on our Board of Fire Commissioners. With your support, I will provide the leadership and accountability our community deserves.
