November 3, 2015 General And Special Election

City, City of Snoqualmie
Council Position No. 6

Joe Larson

Joe Larson

Education: B.A. St. Mary’s College; U.S. Army: Defense Language Institute, Military Police Officer, Military Intelligence Corps.
Occupation: City of Snoqualmie Planning Commissioner; Business and Community Development Manager.

Statement:

My wife, three children, and I are grateful to live, work, worship, and play alongside you in this extraordinary valley.  After years of unprecedented growth and over $30 million in downtown improvements, construction is finally beginning to subside.

Now is the time to appreciate our accomplishments and ensure we have the resources to sustain them. Many of our “new” roads were paved nearly twenty-years ago.  Ironically, the ridge was developed to help reverse years of neglected infrastructure in older sections of town.  As we take on new projects, I will actively seek your input and participation to ensure we balance growth with sustainability.

I’m passionate about the civic health of our community and eager to work with you.  A vote for me ensures your input guides development!

Endorsed by: Democrats, Republicans, local, and state leaders, including State Rep. Jay Rodne, supporting the Snoqualmie Riverfront Project and new I-90/SR-18 interchange.

Statement:

It’s an honor serving Snoqualmie.  I ask for your vote, so I may continue providing you consistent, committed representation.  Our dynamic city of unique neighborhoods must remain a great place to live, work and raise a family.

Four years ago, I wrote you that “I was committed to a conservative financial policy that would deliver the services needed.”  Our city government is in excellent financial condition.

I serve on two committees: Public Safety, where our fire and police provide outstanding service to our citizens.  I will continue to insure their needed resources.  On Parks and Public Works, we opened Jeanne Hansen Park and added a field and amenities.  We purchased new equipment for Fisher Creek and Dogwood Parks.  It is now time to build a skate park.  Our utilities systems are receiving major upgrades, yet our average home owner’s rate is lower than that in the seven nearest cities.
