City, City of SeaTac
Council Position No. 7

Erin A. Sitterley

Erin A. Sitterley

Education: Bachelor of Science, University of Washington; Master of Arts, University of Kansas
Occupation: Speech Language Pathologist

Statement:

Government belongs to the people.  Elected leaders are public servants, and in this spirit, I humbly ask for your vote.

Trust in our council has waned, many councilmembers ignoring accountability, civility and our community.  Our 2011 election, notable for meddling outside interests, union influence and outright dishonesty brought us a council that ignores citizen input, and places their own agendas far above the interests and needs of the people.   We deserve better.

I will be a servant leader, responsive to our citizens and committed to the well-being of our community.  I will work to rebuild a safe, clean and livable city, restore trust, credibility and transparency to our council, and critically examine how your hard earned tax dollars are spent.  A resident for over 26 years, I have served as SeaTac Civil Service Commissioner, annually host National Night Out Against Crime, and actively encourage pride in our homes and neighborhoods.

Mia Su-Ling Gregerson

Mia Su-Ling Gregerson

Education: B.A. University of Washington; A.A. Highline College
Occupation: State Representative; Public Policy Advocate

Statement:

Mia Gregerson, our home-town representative, is a regionally recognized award-winning leader.  Her thoughtful, effective listening style, and her focus on basics, has gotten results for us.

As our Mayor, Mia negotiated with Sound Transit to extend light rail to South 200th.  Expanded parking, a Des Moines Creek Trail connection, and re-vitalization of the area will also result.

Mia has been a tireless advocate, resulting in pro-active code compliance and community ambassadors to city hall.  Healthy clean, safe neighborhoods are the priority.

Representing us at the National Level, Mia brought home one of only fourteen Smart Growth America grants that will provide technical assistance for communities around our light rail stations.

"Four generations of my family have called SeaTac home.  As a life-long resident, my passion is rooted in my love for our community.  Expressing that, through public service to you, is my honor."

Leonard B. Luna

Leonard B. Luna

Education: UW Graduate, DOL and nonprofit/government OJT (trained to administer $30,000,000 in projects)
Occupation: Former Monitor/Auditor, San Francisco Supervisors, Federal/Local Programs.

Statement:

Mia Gregerson treats SeaTac citizens with contempt, insulting us with derogatory statements, even alleging we drink toilet water. She ridiculed me, poking fun at my name, calling me a "Lunatic" ... twice. She broke campaign laws in 2009 and was fined by the PDC. SeaTac paid its PR consultant to craft her apologies but she has never faced public reprimand for any of this. Now is the time for SeaTac to develop a Code of Ethics.

For years, property taxes have increased, and now we have a new 6% utility tax. Senior citizens and younger generations are being impoverished by irresponsible taxation and spending. We must stop this now! The council members seeking re-election must be replaced by leaders who are committed to people and community first.

I pledge to work hard for you. If I am not your choice, vote for Erin Sitterley. Please don’t vote for Mia Gregerson.
