Peter Kwon

Peter Kwon

Education: Associate's in Network Services and Computing Systems, Bellevue Community College, University of Washington
Occupation: Systems Engineer

Statement:

I have lived in the Puget Sound area for over 25 years and I am proud to call SeaTac my home.  I care deeply about our city and want to help make SeaTac the best livable city for all its residents.

Encouragement from friends and neighbors has driven me to run for SeaTac City Council.  If elected, I will represent your interests by improving safety, community involvement, infrastructure, schools, jobs, and implementing a city code of ethics, while reducing crime.

I have helped improve SeaTac by working to clean up abandoned homes, organizing a neighborhood-wide locking mailbox program, and creating yard work parties to help those in need.  Additionally, I currently lead a website designed to help resolve neighborhood conflicts and improve our city by promoting a sense of family and community pride.

I would be honored to represent you and will dedicate my passion to make SeaTac extraordinary!

Occupation: Paralegal, Burien, WA

Statement:

Accomplished and enthusiastic, Sally Andrews will provide the steady, positive change our city needs.

Sally’s professional experience as a paralegal will bring much needed listening skills:

“I’ve met with citizens from every community, and listened carefully.  From Bow Lake and McMicken, to Riverton Heights and Angle Lake, people say they want enhanced police patrols, better code compliance and secure neighborhoods.”

Sally’s training as an educator will give citizens an articulate spokesperson:

“I realize, regardless of which neighborhood we are from, our values are similar – safe neighborhoods, a clean environment, and opportunities for our children.  I’ll make sure city hall hears our voices.”

Sally’s multi-lingual skills and volunteer experience will benefit and inform the Council:

“For years, I’ve provided service to the Highline Food Bank and Hospitality House, our local shelter for homeless women, helping many in need.”

Endorsed and respected, Sally knows our community, and cares deeply about it.

Terry A. Anderson

Terry A. Anderson

Education: Highline High School, College, Oregon, Behavioral Science
Occupation: Retired, current City Council member and Community Volunteer

Statement:

As one of the Founders and the longest serving Councilmember of the City of SeaTac I have been Mayor, Deputy Mayor and served on every committee. We incorporated the City in order to get out from under the thumb of the County; sadly that goal is now being derailed.

Some incumbents in this election choose to serve themselves rather than serve the citizens who pay them.   Replace them with candidates who care, listen and put the citizens first.

SeaTac citizens deserve an ethical government where they do come first, in the hands of Councilmembers who know and are involved in SeaTac and are NOT beholding to other government offices/unions/entities/special interests. You can’t serve two masters.

I want a legacy of a safe, clean, ethical and financially thriving SeaTac and we need candidates who will abide by this philosophy.

If you want to replace me this time, please vote Peter KWON.
