Education: Bachelor's in Business, University of Washington; Master of Business Administration, Management, Seattle University
Occupation: General Manager, Whelan Security

Statement:

When we moved to Bothell in 1976, our family saw a welcoming community nestled in a beautiful natural landscape with a thriving business community.  I grew up here but have lived/traveled throughout the world.   My family came back to Bothell so we could enjoy the great schools and lifestyle!  I even bought the house I grew up in!

The new growth we're experiencing points to a bright future however we need to retain the unique Bothell character! I want to continue this positive movement!  That's why I'm running!  My goal is to use my business, cultural, and life experiences to keep the momentum going.

My approach is to engage with the community, businesses, and organizations so that we can harness the collective genius to forge ahead!  Every time I've done this; the results have always been great.

Together, let’s create Progress with Character!

Statement:

I am a diehard Bothell resident and share your hopes, aspirations and dreams for our city. I seek your support for Bothell council seat.

Bothell is a rapidly growing community and I see a need to improve our planning, setting our priorities right and having an accountable city council. My focus is to bring in community's voice and transparency in city's decision making. I will work to improve traffic congestion, support emergency response teams, local businesses, use taxpayers money wisely, improve recreational facilities, parks and increase community activities to avoid drugs in our future generation. I support growth without compromising quality of life. I want Evergreen state to be Green forever and will resist deforestation.

I am from amongst you and have a proven track record of community service. I will bring in energy, common sense and be accessible. I will listen to you and represent you to improve Bothell.

Davina Duerr

Education: Bachelor of Architecture, Syracuse University
Occupation: Registered Architect

Statement:

After falling in love with Main Street, my husband and I chose to raise our family in Bothell. One of my family’s values is to serve this community. I have demonstrated this on the Northshore Schools Foundation Board and the Bothell Landmark Preservation Board.

As an architect, my vision for Bothell balances thoughtful development with small town charm.  In order for Bothell to thrive, expanding development requires growth in public amenities such as parks, fields, open spaces, and retail. Traffic congestion, poorly maintained roads, and parking shortages threaten our quality of life and must be addressed.

Bothell deserves a City Council that collaboratively solves tough problems with mutual respect and transparency: one that seeks citizen input.

I will be a committed steward of Bothell’s financial, historic, and environmental resources. Let’s protect the best of our unique city: our river, business community, and neighborhoods. I would be honored to serve you.
