King County Water District No. 119

Commissioner Position No. 3

Michael D. Smith

Michael D. Smith

10528 344TH AVE NE

Education: B.A. University of Washington
Occupation: Senior Loan Officer

As a lifelong resident of Washington state, I want to be involved in my community.  The water conversation is exactly what I am looking for.

My family of 8 moved to the Carnation/Duvall area from Issaquah because we wanted to grow our own food, manage our own animals, and support our local community.

As a current water district customer, I have found that the current team is knowledgable, courteous, and friendly. I aspire to the be the same. I believe that water, and water issues, is a responsibility.  My goal is to keep an eye on conservation, be fair to the customers, and keep a keen eye on growth in our community. I will work closely with the other commissioners to ensure we are making the very best decisions for our community regarding water. I also hope to understand our role better in the greater water conversation throughout King County.
