Focusing on future growth, especially on Sound Transit and up zoned areas is a high priority. Making sure the the infrastructure can handle flow volumes is critical.

Replacing aging infrastructure and areas of high root intrusion, which cause backups, are constant concerns. Making sure the District has the money for repairs, without burdening the rate payers, is a primary consideration.

My goal is to promote a culture of trust and respect by encouraging citizen involvement. I also hope to create a smooth, final transition to the City of Shoreline. Gretchen Atkinson is married, has two grown daughters, and is a long time Shoreline resident. She is dedicated to community service and is an active community leader. Her current and previous activities include: Council of Neighborhoods, North City Business Association, Shoreline Chamber of Commerce, Sound Transit Committee, and is CERT trained.
