2019 general election
Midway Sewer District
Commissioner Position 2
I am currently President of Midway Sewer District Board of Commissioners. We have one of the lowest rates in the area. I will continue to provide effective leadership of the District and keep the costs as low as possible for the rate payers.
I will insist on fairness for all customers and will provide the stewardship necessary to preserve our environment for future generations.
Our area is growing rapidly and we must plan for the future. The treatment facilities are getting older and we must upgrade the wastewater treatment plant and pump stations. I thank you for your continued support and would appreciate your vote.

It is crucial that our sewage and waste water be handled and managed properly as we navigate our environmental responsibility and the needs of our Waterland community while limiting negative impact during our area’s growth.
Successful strategies towards budget, resources, and environment are paramount in the development and sustainability of our marina town; I will bring my knowledge of water storage, filtration, and sewage management to the team. I acknowledge and appreciate the hard work of Jack W. Hendrickson and the other members of the Commission.
In addition to volunteering with the Des Moines Arts Commission as Vice-Chairperson, I have been an assistant race fleet Captain of the Three Tree Point Yacht Club, and a Marina Floor Association member. Living in Des Moines for the past 15 years makes me aware of many of the town’s needs and concerns. I am eager to be a part of this important work.
