2019 general election
King County Water District 54
Commissioner Position 2
I have lived and worked in Water District 54 for over 40 years. I am familiar with everyday problems that affect your life and have spent most of my career working with people to maintain their homes and listening to their needs as a remodel carpenter.
As your Water Commissioner, I will provide leadership to assure that your water is clean, healthy, safe and is free from added chemicals or influenced by outside sources.
I know the importance of budgeting and will also provide leadership in running the district efficiently to keep costs at a minimum. I will listen to your ideas and concerns. I enjoy solving problems that show good results.

It has been an honor to serve as water commissioner since February, 2018. A 4th generation Des Moines resident, I love the city and believe in community service. I am the director of the local food bank and am on the Des Moines Farmers Market board of directors.
In the two years since I was appointed to fill a mid-term vacancy, we have completed the 223rd Street project. Our board and staff has completed work on a 10-year plan for the district, which looks at potential infrastructure improvements, our daily routine, and our water capacity for the future. I enjoy talking to community members about our water and have been able to bring feedback from customers directly to the board.
I ask that you would let me continue the work of providing our community with access to high quality, unchlorinated water at affordable prices.
