Your dedicated Fire Commissioner since 2014, I have and will continue to strategically develop long range planning to address growth and increased demands for service, ensure that our department has the resources necessary to fully protect and quickly respond while striving to deliver the highest quality of emergency service for our citizens.

We are currently exploring the possibilities for joint opportunities with neighboring departments to better serve our communities, as it has always been my goal to provide the best cost effective service to our Shoreline residents.

A lifelong community resident, I attended school, college, raised a family, worked and recently retired all here in Shoreline. I am a dedicated, active community volunteer. Memberships include: Currently on the executive board King County Fire Commissioner’s Association - Washington Fire Commissioner’s Association. I am honored to be endorsed by our Shoreline Firefighters, Local 1760 and mutually supported by my fellow commissioner team.

As a professional whose daily work is on the street level of King County, from Shoreline to Queen Anne, I see and know first-hand how preventative measures stop accidents, and how effective emergency responses saves lives.

I know how important an EMT response is when seconds matter, how improving dispatch saves time and saves lives. Most importantly, as a resident of  Shoreline where residential density is rapidly increasing, I know the importance of the security provided by having a prompt and effective fire district.

I am running for this office to ensure that Shoreline EMT and fire response continues to be effective and supportive of the volunteer and career firefighters who have dedicated their lives to protecting ours. I intend to provide my public service as a member of the board of fire commissioners for our district. I hope you will see fit to permit me this opportunity to serve.
