Due to personal reasons, I am no longer running for Fire Commissioner

I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work with our fire district, providing the absolute best fire rescue service our island community can afford. Getting the most out of every taxpayer dollar collected, in support of our dedicated staff of island emergency responders.

We need to use our Island Fire levy and EMS levy property taxes wisely.  Doing more than just increasing fire district cash reserves and buying new emergency ambulances and fire pumpers.  We must also invest in our island’s professional and volunteer emergency responders. Our Firefighters, EMT’s and Support Staff.

I would be honored to serve as one of your Island Fire Commissioners. Vote for John Simonds for Vashon Fire Commissioner Position 5. And please remember; Well-placed and properly working home smoke detectors save lives, practice your family’s home fire escape plan, and always maintain clearly visible address numbers.
