I moved to Vashon in 2016 but fell in love with the island in the 1990’s when I worked as an assistant to a local handyman while attending college in Seattle.  The rural setting and the small-town atmosphere had me hooked. Now that I am here, it’s important to me to make a real contribution to my community. When the role of Fire Commissioner was presented to me, I knew this would be that opportunity.

My work in Property Management, as well as a 10-year stint in the construction industry, gives me a unique perspective of both the managerial/financial side of the job, in addition to the human element. It is my goal to work with the Fire Chief and fellow Fire Commissioners to insure that first responders have the tools need to do their job, and the community has a Fire Department they can depend on.
