It has been my privilege to serve our community for three terms on the LWSD Board of Directors. I am the proud parent of one LWSD graduate, and two children attending LWSD schools. I am experienced, qualified, and committed to continued improvement in district performance. During my tenure we have more than tripled capacity at our interest-focused high school programs (ICS, Tesla STEM High School, the Cambridge Program and the AP Capstone Program), and adopted significantly improved K-5 math and reading programs. The strong academic reputation of our district has led to an unprecedented 25% increase in student enrollment since I was first elected, so the most challenging issues we currently face remain operational.

The recently passed levy allows us to begin to address crowding with new buildings (thank you), and I will continue advocating for fiscally responsible measures that can fully accommodate district growth. I also promise to continue to advocate for expanded access and variety within the interest-focused high school programs.

We are already among the best public school districts in our state, and I support our new superintendent in her efforts to continue improving, until we are one of the best school districts on the planet.
