Occupation: Experienced financial executive, business leader, CPA, EY senior audit manager
Statement:

Today, the future for our Valley’s students is brighter than ever.  Carolyn fought hard to help turnaround our schools. She stood strong to help improve the district culture and was elected by her peers as Board president. United together for kids, the Board now focuses on preparing every student for college and career choices, governing with accountability, and enhancing schools for safety and growth.

Carolyn is passionate about working to ensure that each and every student is encouraged, accomplished, supported, safe, and, ultimately, educated for life after high school.

She is endorsed by King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert, State Senator Mullet, the Mayors in North Bend and Snoqualmie, City Councilmembers, the entire School Board, parents, students, staff, and community leaders.  Carolyn has achieved results by collaborating with community partners and being accessible, accountable, and transparent.   Re-elect Carolyn; we need her unwavering focus on student success and her inclusive, results-oriented leadership.

Education: B.S. (in progress), Interdisciplinary Studies Social Sciences and Accessibility Studies, Central Washington University
Occupation: Mother + Community Volunteer
Statement:

Children are the heart and soul of our community. I’ve spent 20 years working with and advocating for children, including hundreds of hours mentoring Snoqualmie Valley youth.

With four children in three SVSD schools, including a disabled child, I have valuable experience with the education system. Coupled with my academic training in social science, I bring a vital equity and inclusion lens to the decision-making table which I will use to ensure that your family feels seen, heard, and cared for.

I will also work to improve communication between the board and the community so you feel empowered and confident in the decisions that affect your family. I am excited for the opportunity to serve you and your children on the SVSD school board. Kids are my jam. It would be an honor to spend the next four years of my life working to improve and enrich their educational experience.
