Education: BSc in Biology from UEA in the UK. Post-graduate training in project management and marketing.
Occupation: Retired CEO of a major telecommunications company.

For twelve years I have been dedicated to helping schools in Snoqualmie Valley, the last eight as a School Board Director. In those years we have raised pay for all staff, we have built a new high school and elementary school, we have funded more counselors and nurses and for the first time we have a strategic plan and educational pathways.

My children have received a great education in this District. My eldest graduated last year, my youngest is a sophomore at Mt. Si. I am committed to delivering that same experience for every child, making sure they all reach their full potential.

I have thirty years of business skills to ensure that our educators are supported, tax dollars are managed wisely, and the community is communicated with effectively. Our kids face tough challenges, we need to ensure every one of them, regardless of circumstances receives the education they deserve.

Education: B.A., St. John's College, MD; Bronx High School of Science, NY
Occupation: Small business owner/entrepreneur at PropEle Electric Boat Motors, Inc.

Our schools should provide all children with skills and opportunities to become life-long learners. I am eager to apply my experience and energy to better connect families and reach every student to spark the fire to learn and grow.

As an elected Commissioner at Si View Park District (2 terms), I know that local governments can listen to and connect with communities.  My extensive school community service includes leadership in PTA/PTSAs, Music Boosters, and the High School Design and Middle School Visioning teams. Volunteering in schools for hundreds of hours, I know how schools and the District operate. We can set higher standards to better connect families to services so all our children receive the best possible education.

We must strongly advocate for the State to fully fund education so communities will not rely on local levies. If elected, I will dedicate myself to strategic improvements within our District.
