Thank you for electing me to the Bellevue School Board in 2015.

To further the academic excellence of the Bellevue School District, and to achieve an educational environment where all students will thrive, I have worked with my school board colleagues and the district leadership to create measurable goals that will allow the district to improve while also reaching students who are not currently well served.

While writing and reviewing policy, I have ensured that policies are equitably formulated and are focused on meeting the needs of every student whether they are an advanced learner, a new speaker of English, a student with special needs, a marginalized student, or a student who is struggling academically.

As school board liaison to the Bellevue PTSA Council, where I am also Past President, I keep parents informed about school board and district work on a monthly basis. I meet with parents and students to help advocate for them, and to get valuable feedback on the effectiveness of district policies. My recognitions include the PTA Golden Acorn from Stevenson Elementary and the Gold Level Leadership Academy award from the Washington State PTA. I am currently a volunteer tutor for students taking AP World History.
