It's been my honor to serve as a Director of the Bellevue School District since being appointed one and one-half years ago. I grew up in Bellevue and attended Bellevue Public Schools, graduating from Interlake High School. Our two children have attended Bellevue schools as well. I've benefited greatly from public education and want to ensure that our community continues its tradition of supporting a strong and compassionate school district.

My prior teaching experience, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, informs my understanding of the value of a strong primary and secondary education. We provide levels of challenge and rigor across a variety of academic, career, and technical areas, as well as in the arts and athletics. While I'm proud of our continued commitment to excellence, I believe one of our greatest strengths is our community, its values of respect and compassion, and our collective recognition that together we have the privilege of supporting the development of a future generation, whose social and emotional well-being must be prioritized as well. I'm committed to the fulfillment of our school district's vision and mission of providing an equitable and exemplary education that affirms and inspires each and every student.
