Over the past four years, I have worked diligently with other Board members, community groups, teachers, and parents to continuously investigate what is working well in our District and to implement what we can do better. I try to listen with respect and an open mind, communicate clearly and transparently, and always strive for excellence in our schools. In addition, it has been a privilege to be the Legislative Representative for VISD as I and others continue to work at the state level to advocate for fully funded education.

Looking to the future, I am committed to these goals for the Board: to continue to be fiscally responsibility; to champion and encourage students to be successful for the world that awaits them; to provide physical and emotional safety for our students; and to challenge ourselves to make the District (and in turn, the world) a better place for our students.
