As an occupational therapist, I worked with and advocated for children in healthcare and educational settings for many years. In my volunteer work, I have focused on sustainability and children’s well-being. In all these roles, I have leveraged technology to increase community engagement, an approach I hope to bring to the school board.

This year, the board begins facilities planning with an eye towards modernizing older buildings in future years. I look forward to working collaboratively with the board and administration to serve students, families, teachers, and staff throughout this process while remaining accountable to taxpayers.

As a parent of three M.I. students, I have a personal as well as professional understanding of the need for differentiated learning, a curriculum challenging all students, mental health counselors in the schools, and equity/diversity initiatives.
