Statement:

Thanks in advance for voting and considering me to represent your interest on our city council.

Having moved to Duvall in 2017 after nearly 22 years of military service, I have witnessed a lot of growth in our city.  And, as a recent planning commissioner, I have learned about our planned growth.  I grew up in an extremely small town, which gives me a nostalgic perspective that respects the impacts growth and change can have on such an amazing, small-town community.

As a citizen of this wonderful city, I feel it is extremely important to serve out of respect for those who have served before and help our elected officials make decisions that reflect our desires.  We owe them the best possible representation of our community and you deserve a city council that has our citizens’ interest as the number one priority. Thanks for considering me with your vote!

Statement:

Calling Bingo at the elementary school, volunteering with Rotary, REF, Art Center, and Sno-Valley Comm Auctions, or even helping Sandy Duvall move and set up her giant stage. I love being part of this community.  Duvall deserves a city council that respects and reflects our rural country charm.

I will collaborate for sustainable and measured urban growth while respecting our common vision for community and respecting property rights of individuals; Sanity in the budgeting process with specific thought going to the cost of maintenance and projected cost of replacement; Identification of upcoming needs such as liquidating unused or underutilized properties and building a true City Hall; and a strong and meaningful relationship between city government and community organizations to leverage maximum benefit for our neighbors.

Mar 2020:  appointed to Planning Commission Sept 2020: elected Vice-Chair of the planning commission. Oct 2020-Mar 2021: Served on Riverview School District Reopening committee.
