Statement:

Born in SeaTac, I was appointed in January to the SeaTac City Council from my previous position as Vice Chairman of our Planning Commission where I served since 2017.  I bring to the Council my years of dedication to City service and my experience and expertise with land use policy planning, SeaTac’s Comprehensive Plan, and productive working relationships with City staff and elected officials. I value and support the livability of our suburban neighborhoods, our diversity, our thriving business environment and local community control.

As your elected Councilmember I will continue to support and advocate for public safety, sustainable balanced budgets, more equity, inclusiveness and community involvement in the governmental process, better two-way communication between our community, Council and City staff, better traffic flows and a common-sense approach to our growth.

Please vote to retain me in position 5, your independent candidate for a livable, engaged and thriving SeaTac community.

Statement:

SeaTac is my home. Change is needed to address our city’s growing challenges:neighborhood safety; affordability & livability ; equitable economic development, and access to better parks and open spaces. Our city government must do a better job representing the needs of its residents.

My life has been dedicated to improving the lives of families in SeaTac. I’ve helped raise wages for working people in our city, worked to improve safety in our neighborhoods, and supported our local small businesses.

We must prioritize listening to our residents. We have an opportunity to put people first and create a city that works for all of us: seniors, workers, youth, immigrants- all residents of SeaTac. Together, we can make SeaTac a better place. Endorsements: Congressman Adam Smith, King County Democrats, 33rd District Democrats, King County Young Democrats, MLK Labor, SEIU 6, Teamsters117, Laborers’ 242, Port Commissioner Ryan Calkins, Highline Education Association and others.
