Statement:

Normandy Park is in trouble. Within the past four years ,we've lost five seasoned police officers through resignation or "retirement ". Two Councilmembers, two planning Commissioners, and three Arts Commissioners have quit in protest .  Citizens are angry and frustrated . My opponent is the problem. He's divisive, arrogant, dictatorial - he claims he's related to Napoleon ! We need solid, experienced, effective, accountable,  transparent leadership now.

I have the experience you deserve.  I've served as your Mayor for five years, City Councilmember for  15 years. I know our community and care deeply for it. I'm an effective leader and consensus builder. I've served  as President /Boardmember of the Normandy Park Community Club "Cove" for 12 years, revitalizing and putting it in solid financial position. I believe I can do the same for our wonderful city. I look forward to serving you !

Endorsed by five former NP Mayors !

Statement:

Natural environment. Our city's founders committed themselves to build a vibrant and lush oasis. It is our responsibility to maintain and improve our city's landscape and coastal beauty.

Public Safety. I am a strong advocate for the men and women of our fully staffed police department. During my four years in office, we resurfaced many of our significant streets, replaced critical stormwater systems, upgraded pole lights with cost-effective LEDs, and added sidewalks to increase pedestrian safety and walkability.

Quality of life is achieved by more than just one person, committee, or idea. We must listen to each other, understand the needs of the city, and make sound choices based on facts. If re-elected, I will support the construction of a new city hall and recreation center without increasing our already heavy tax burden. I will be present and ready to serve you, with honesty, integrity, and respect.
