I am running for City Council because I have a passion for community engagement. Since moving to Newcastle six years ago, I first got involved in my community through my children’s co-op preschool when I saw a need for leadership. Once my kids started public school, I was asked to become the President of the Hazelwood Elementary PTSA, and in this role I have seen the importance of teaching my children civic duty.

We are all better when we are all engaged, and I excel at encouraging diverse voices to enrich conversations and solve problems. As a mother of young children, I look forward to bringing my voice to our City Council.

I pledge to be an active listener to the residents of Newcastle and continue the legacy of a safe, beautiful, and friendly community. I believe Newcastle is a hidden jewel and I will always work to protect it.
