Statement:

Maple Valley has been an idyllic home for my wife and I over the last 22 years. We raised 6 children in the best city and school district in the state. And I want to continue to make Maple Valley the best city in the state.

Much has been accomplished while serving on City Council. We have completed several transportation improvements, adopted a common vision for the Legacy Site, and built the Summit Park this summer under budget without new taxes. Our city is recognized as one of the safest in the state and we are making inroads in economic development.

As your City Council Member I am engaged in addressing traffic congestion, road safety, and local job creation, regional collaboration and effective police practices. And I am focused on developing the Legacy Site as a public gathering place, and focal point for our community.

Statement:

As 10 year residents of Maple Valley, my family and I have grown to love this place that we call home. We have benefited from its schools, outdoor recreation, businesses, volunteer opportunities, and feeling of community. Now, my gratitude demands that I give back by serving as your City Councilor.

I spend the majority of my week locally and my flexible schedule assures I will be here for you with time to devote to important issues such as building our economy with local employment centers, working to improve transportation, focusing on sustainability, and preserving our town's natural beauty.

Every person deserves a voice and every Council decision has consequences. So, before casting any vote, I promise to keep an open mind, listen to every possible side and to remember that one of my most important jobs is to help make Maple Valley feel like home to everyone who lives here.
