Statement:

Preserving the Character of LFP - I have worked extensively with our citizens to improve our city code to ensure the natural environment and small town character of LFP is preserved in the face of potential town center redevelopment and ST3.To ensure the safety of our citizens, I have consistently advocated for reduced speed limits, safer pedestrian crossings and new sidewalks to mitigate the rising tide of traffic.

Championing the Environment - With the strong support of the community, I authored of one of Washington’s most comprehensive plastics ordinances. I also helped facilitate the acquisition of nearly seven acres of forested land for everyone to enjoy.

Being Successful Together- As a member of your City Council, I have brought meaningful reform to city government and collaboratively tackled the tough issues that we face in our City. Please join me as we work towards a more innovative and inclusive government.

Statement:

Lake Forest Park is a unique city facing new challenges that require a measured approach. With a city divided between tree canopy and development, we need to find a middle road that allows for some growth, but still keeps the character of our city intact.

I have volunteered at our elementary schools and community events, listening to the voices of our residents. As a council member, I will continue to listen to, communicate with, and represent city residents in making smart, informed decisions about the future we want to see, and I will not be afraid to speak up even when the votes are against me.

I also believe money plays too large a role in our city council races. I am not taking any donations. I am the best choice for City Council to address the challenges we face while respecting and preserving what makes Lake Forest Park irreplaceable.
