Statement:

It was an honor to previously serve on the Federal Way City Council as well as a 30th District State Representative.  On the Federal Way Council, I was elected by my Colleagues as Deputy Mayor twice and then as Mayor in 2010.  As your 30th District State Representative, I was voted 2016 Outstanding Legislator of the Year by the State Sewer/Water Association. I worked hard for 18 years in the offices I held to be a voice of reason as well as an advocate for common sense and fiscal responsibility.  Voted Best City Leader in Federal Way twice, I tried to be a leader with integrity as well as an advocate for families.  I need your vote now so that I can work to help you with crime, homelessness, and job growth.

A vote for Linda Kochmar will return a Trusted Leader to the Federal Way City Council.

Statement:

I’ve been a problem solver in the tech industry for over 20 years where I drive collaboration, delivery, and quality of global software products. Being a commissioner on the Human Services and Civil Service commissions has taught me valuable lessons on how to make better data-driven decisions for the city. I want to be your common-sense voice to foster positive change within Federal Way.

As the only candidate in this race endorsed by the FW Police Guild, I want to focus on public safety resource levels that allow more staffing to reduce crime, support human services, and increase community engagement.  Being strong on crime, yet balancing with compassion will make us attractive to economic growth. We need to invest in our growing and diverse community.  It's 2019, we have new challenges and that's why Federal Way needs new ideas, not old politics.

I respectfully ask for your vote, thank you.
