As a council candidate Mark committed to improving neighborhood safety, promoting job growth, and strategically redeveloping our downtown. As a councilmember Mark kept his word.
In his second term, Mark will continue to focus on the issues important to Federal Way families and crucial to our city’s future. He is committed to continued enhancement of public safety through community engagement, innovative practices, and hiring additional officers. He also will hold Sound Transit accountable during the construction phase, equitably address homelessness, and continue enactment of the Violence Prevention Coalition Steering Committee recommendations concerning youth engagement, an initiative Mark was instrumental in starting, approving, and implementing.
Mark is a proven leader who is optimistic about the future of Federal Way. He is a trusted member of the council who is approachable, engaged and well informed. He would be honored to continue serving all the residents of our city. Vote Koppang for Council.

Federal Way has a world of possibilities in its future. For most, our city is a great place to live, work, play, volunteer and worship. However, as our city continues to grow, we face some challenges that requires community-driven leadership to help “Federal Way Move Forward.”
I am an attorney who has more than 25 years of community involvement. I serve on Federal Way Human Services Commission and have served as a member of the board of directors for several local, regional, and national nonprofits, including service on the boards of Highline College Foundation and the Girl Scouts of Western Washington.
Endorsements: U.S. Congressman Adam Smith, State Sen. Claire Wilson, State Rep. Mike Pelliciotti, State Rep. Kristine Reeves, Federal Way City Councilmember Jesse Johnson, 30th District Democrats, King County Democrats, Alliance For Gun Responsibility, MLK Labor, many more community leaders and organizations. Elect Jamila Taylor! A forward-thinking leader we need.
