Statement:

Carnation is a lovely place to live, play, and raise a family. The fast pace of regional growth challenges us with an exciting opportunity – how to cultivate this growth while retaining our city’s rural and beautiful character.

I am ready to meet this challenge. I will work diligently with you and our Council in continuing to create a safer, more walkable, and more prosperous community.

A mother of four little boys, and married to a local firefighter, I am passionate about service to our community. I volunteer with the Good Neighbor Fund, Carnation Elementary, and use my skills as a Dental Hygienist volunteering in free dental clinics. Together, we can create a more inclusive, equitable, and affordable community. Endorsements: King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert, Carnation Mayor Kim Lisk, Carnation Council Member Jim Berger, Planning Board members Salwa Raphael and Ron Lundeen, The National Women’s Political Caucus AdairForCouncil.com

Statement:

I have lived in the Snoqualmie Valley area for 24 years with the past 18 years living in Carnation city limits.  I am married to Rose and have 4 boys aged 15, 17, 19 & 23.  I love my community and volunteer a lot of my time in supporting the community as Scoutmaster for Troop 411.  Over the years I have coached my boys and their friends in soccer, football, baseball and basketball in recreational leagues and tournaments.  My main goal as City Councilmember will be to ensure Carnation keeps its unique identity as a small town situated in the farming community of the Snoqualmie Valley.  I believe transparency in government is important and will strive to ensure that the city has a comprehensive communication plan with our citizens so that everyone can be involved in the decisions that our City makes as we meet the needs of our community.
