Statement:

I have been honored to serve on the Black Diamond City Council, for the past 18+ months. During this time, I have come to appreciate this community even more. We can all be proud to call this home. As a husband and father, I want Black Diamond to continue to be a city where people want to raise their families. As Black Diamond grows, we must remember our history, maintain our small-town charm, and be a city where people know their neighbors. Let’s welcome our new neighbors and share with them the many treasures of Black Diamond, such as our beautiful open spaces and historic downtown. I ask you to trust me to protect the past and work with me to shape our future. I promise to continue to be a voice for the residents of Black Diamond. Please vote to return me to the Black Diamond City Council.

Statement:

My husband and I are proud to call Black Diamond our home for its strong sense of history and community built around forests and wetlands; its beautiful trails and hills were invaluable to successfully training me for my first marathon.

As I prepare a new marathon as City Councilmember, I look forward to introducing new neighbors to old traditions, and longtime residents to new opportunities. My service in public education has energized me to promote a community in which people from different walks of life come together to advance a meaningful future.

Let us renew our commitment to protect the natural landscape that makes Black Diamond so special, and embrace the next chapters in our town’s story. I ask for your vote. Endorsements: 5th LD Democrats, National Women’s Political Caucus of Washington, State Representatives Bill Ramos and Lisa Callan, State Senator Mona Das, and Democratic Municipal Officials.
