Hello, my name is Micah Steinhauer, I am currently running for Soos Creek Water and Sewer District Commissioner Position No. 5.

I am a lifelong resident of Washington State, and have lived within the Soos Creek District for the last 25 years.  My  wife and I have been married 27 years and have raised our two children within this district.  Now is my time to give back with my knowledge and experience.  

I have worked for a local, neighboring sewer district for the last 31 years which gives me a beneficial first hand knowledge how a district operates.  With this experience, I have worked in nearly every facet of treatment and service. I have achieved the highest certification available, (Group IV) from Washington State in this field.  This qualifies me to make sound and educated decisions for you when it comes to your Soos Creek Water and Sewer District concerns. 

My expertise in this industry makes me uniquely positioned to help make this possible benefiting you and your family. Thank you for you vote, I pledge to maintain a high quality safe drinking water, efficient operations and keep low rates within our district.

Alice has worked for over 40 years in the water and sewer industry, including 26 years as a Soos Creek employee. This experience has prepared her to meet the current and future needs of the District and contribute a well-rounded knowledge of water and sewer operations, District policy, history, and future needs to the Board. Proudly serving as one of your current commissioners, she has supported and initiated policies that maintain the strength of the District while keeping water and sewer rates amongst the lowest in King County.

Alice is committed to preserving a tradition of excellent customer service and strategic planning to accommodate the growth and future changes within District boundaries. Soos Creek Water and Sewer District has a unique boundary that overlaps with 6 cities and unincorporated King County. Alice is committed to working with each jurisdiction, providing service to the communities while minimizing the impact to ratepayers.

A lifelong western Washington resident, Alice has lived within the Soos Creek boundary for 30 years and has been a part of the Kent business community for 10 years. Alice looks forward to continuing to represent the community and serving as your Commissioner.

Occupation: Senior Civil Engineer, Water Utility District
Statement:

As a professional engineer with over a decade of experience in the civil engineering field, including his current position as the Senior Engineer at a neighboring water utility district, Logan has the skills, background, and experience to make informed, strategic, decisions for the Soos Creek Water & Sewer District.

 

Logan has a proven track record of effective and engaging leadership. A U.S. Navy Veteran, he served on submarines out of Bangor, WA. As the former Chief of Cost Engineering at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District, he has a keen eye for financial management and fiscal planning.

 

Logan and his wife Alisha enjoy raising their two children in the Kent community, where they’ve lived for over 15 years. You can often find them exploring the Soos creek trail with their dog Apollo.

 

Logan looks forward to bringing his experience and honest perspective to the District’s Board of Commissioners. He is extremely proud of his career in service to the public, both in the military and as a civilian. As the next Commissioner he is committed to prioritizing affordable rates, fiscal responsibility, strategic planning and exceptional customer service. He would be honored to serve you as your next Commissioner.
