2021 primary election
Town of Yarrow Point
Council Position No. 5
Service to the community has been a priority during my 38 years on Yarrow Point. I chaired the 4th of July celebration twice and served on the Park Board from 1990-1997 and from 2012 to the present. In that position I have been involved in the enhancement of Road End Beach and the playground at Morningside Park, among other projects to steward the public lands of Yarrow Point. These experiences afford me knowledge of town operations and insight into the needs and expectations of Yarrow Point residents. I will make proactive, not reactive decisions based on immediate and future needs. As the only woman running for the council I will bring a different perspective to ensure balanced representation of the community of Yarrow Point.
I welcome the opportunity to further serve Yarrow Point and work collaboratively with the other members of the council.
As a new member of Council, I will bring diversity and promote transparency, accountability and respectful problem solving. I will work to make our community safer and great place to raise family, maintain integrity of our parks and walking trials, and ensure construction parking follows town code.
I’m fortunate to be part of this community since my family and I moved here 4+ years ago. I’m at a stage in my life where I want to contribute more to our community. I live on 95th Ave at the dead end on south side of Sally’s ally (near basketball structure). I’m a husband, father, son, brother and Seahawks fan. I have met many of you while playing basketball and soccer with my 8 years old twins and taking walk with my wife Anu and our twins.
I will be honored to earn your vote and humbled to serve our community.

My name is Steve Bush and I am a resident of Yarrow Point. After the successful sale of Pure Networks, a technology startup I co-founded, our family moved to Yarrow Point in May 2010. I live with my wife Christine Chang, two teenage daughters, and pet Golden Retrievers at the intersection of Yarrow Point, Clyde Hill, and Kirkland town boundaries. In 2013, I decided to leave the workforce and dedicate my time, energy, and resources to family and community impacting projects.
I wish to serve the town of Yarrow Point as a member of the Town Council, position #5. As a member of the Council, I will seek to preserve the character and quality of life in Yarrow Point while improving the infrastructure and services offered by the town. I have served on the Yarrow Point town council since 2014.
I humbly ask for your vote.
