As a Clyde Hill resident of 33 years, I am proud of my service with the City’s Budget Advisory Committee, of my support of the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club, and of my work with Jubilee Reach (serving the underprivileged in East Bellevue.)

As a Boeing executive, I worked in close contact with commercial airline customers, taking on challenges in finance, engineering, and cultures in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.  I learned to listen closely to those around me before making any major decision.

I highly value the quality of life offered by our City.  As your council member I will continue to support our professional and disciplined police force, our first-rate infrastructure, and our stable city finances. The skills that I have developed over the years will serve me well as your Clyde Hill Council Member.  Thank you for your vote.

I’m running for council because after living in Clyde Hill for 20 years, I want to give back.

Clyde Hill is a wonderful place — improving feedback between the city and its residents would make it even better. The listening and communication skills I developed leading teams at Microsoft for 20+ years, working closely with engineering, legal, & finance professionals, have prepared me to do just that.

Listening to friends and neighbors, I hear interest in a safe, fenced, off-leash dog-park. We can make that and other substantive improvements happen while we continue to be financially responsible. I participated in last year’s budget process and in council meetings as a member of the public. My biggest surprise was that Clyde Hill is holding ~$11 million — more than two years of operating budget. Considering how to treat this surplus deserves open discussion. Representing you would be a privilege.

Clyde Hill has a unique charm that makes it a special community to live in. With so much recent growth, it's important to carefully determine the priorities and perspectives of our residents. My background as a healthcare professional has given me invaluable skills in assessment and communication, and I am confident that my motivation and ability to effectively collaborate with others will render me successful in this role. My husband and I truly love this city, and I am eager to further identify goals and strategic planning needs to ensure Clyde Hill stays safe, harmonious, and beautiful.

As a woman of mixed-race heritage, I believe that council representation is important, and I am devoted to ensuring that diversity and equity are overarching themes in our community. It would be a privilege to hear your viewpoints and develop a meaningful partnership to help make Clyde Hill the best it can be!
