Vashon Island deserves the strong voice of a young family on the parks department board. Since moving our family to Vashon, I have participated in developing Vashon Fresh through the Vashon Island Growers Association which connects local growers and producers with Vashon residents.  I am currently serving on the board of Creative Preschool, I helped start the Crazy Clovers 4-h program on Vashon, and have my B.S. in Geosciences from Pacific Lutheran University. My oldest child goes to Chautauqua Elementary School, and has participated in many of the offerings the parks department currently offers.

I believe that our parks are a true asset to the community.  I hope to contribute to the nurturing and development of community spaces for Vashon Island, with the voices of the younger generation and the community’s best interest at the heart of what I accomplish.
