Statement:

Experience matters. The responsibilities of NUD Commissioners are to oversee the District budget, insure sustainability and to verify supplier and construction contracts benefit the District rate payers. I have over thirty years’ experience in budgeting and operating large utilities. As your NUD Commissioner, I will use my experience to insure our District resources are efficiently directed, our infrastructure is protected and our rates are reasonable.

I am a retired telecom utility chief engineer. I will dedicate my full time efforts to the responsibilities of your NUD Commissioner. I am a veteran of the USAF, a graduate of the University of Washington and a resident of the District for almost 40 years. I am very familiar with the operation and processes of the District. My commitment is that will work hard to insure our rates remain low and district resources are sustainable. I humbly ask for your vote.

Statement:

I would like to thank you for allowing me to represent you on the Northshore Utility Districts (NUD) Board of Commissioners. I have learned a lot and look forward to continuing our work to assure our customers quality utility services.

The NUD is one of the best run utility districts in the state. Our rates are among the lowest and our highly trained employees work with state-of -the-art-equipment to provide the best service possible.

An area that I am focusing on is creating a policy for low and fixed income customers. Currently, the NUD does not have a policy that takes into account a customer’s financial status. By creating a customer assistance program, this will allow us to provide the same great service to all people we serve.

I am committed to ensuring that you will receive high quality water and sewer services at low cost.
