2017 general election
Coal Creek Utility District
Commissioner Position 1
Please re-elect me as a Commissioner for CCUD. I have been a homeowner within CCUD's boundaries since 1977. I have worked hard for CCUD for the past 23 years and have gained a wealth of knowledge & experience as to how a water & sewer district works at a local, regional, & state level. Every $ that comes in from our ratepayers goes out for the benefit of the water & sewer utilities that we run. CCUD is a local government that works without taxes.
I have served on the Board of Directors for the Washington Association of Sewer & Water Districts for 13 years. I also serve on the Seattle Public Utilities Operating Board. Previously I served as Treasurer for the East King County Regional Water Association for 6 years & Chair of the Contract & Legal, Rates & Finance Subcommittee of the Seattle Water Purveyor Committee.
"Vote for a Newcastle resident!"
It's been well over a decade since a Newcastle resident has served on this Commission. I would be honored to be that person! Newcastle is the largest city served by CCUD.
Locally born and raised and residing for over 43 years in the CCUD area; I am profoundly interested in representing the CCUD rate payers relating to sewer, water and street lighting services which are critical elements of our infrastructure.
Working closely with Emergency Management and public safety departments for over 30 years, reiterated how important an efficient, dependable and pure water supply is to first responders and the public. I welcome the fiscal responsibility of keeping our rates low while still meeting environmental needs. I am committed to the wise management, maintenance and protection of these resources for today and for our future generations.
I appreciate your vote and the opportunity to serve you!
