Education: BA, Business Administration, Concentration in Accounting, Foster School of Business, University of Washington
Occupation: Partner in Financial Advisory Firm. Previously, Shareholder in CPA Firm
Statement:

Having raised a family in Kenmore the last 23 years, I have taken pride witnessing the transformation of Kenmore. Of course, this comes with challenges, some that your Fire Commissioners will have to address. Traffic congestion and higher population density, are just examples. However, by re-distributing fire department assets, continuing the exploration of combining resources with other fire agencies and instituting a pro-active hiring policy, we can help mitigate these challenges. Additionally, encouraging community involvement through emergency preparedness training (CERT) will be increasingly important as we all move forward.

As a CPA I believe that fiscal management and focused planning are critical to the success of any organization. As a  Past President of the Northshore Rotary Club and participating on boards of numerous other organizations, I believe that searching for common ground is critical to providing effective leadership. These are the traits I will bring as your Fire Commissioner.
