Population growth is putting pressure on class sizes, school capacity, and our ability to provide quality and equitable instruction for our diverse student body. Broad experience and skillful leadership is vital to our future.
I am running because I care deeply about this community. My three children are/were students of Northshore schools, my wife teaches at Northshore Middle School, and I have volunteered for over 30 years as a coach, church leader, and parent helper in our schools.
27 years of private and public sector experience with multi-million dollar budgets and transactions has given me the financial, analytical, and listening skills that will help me to be a skillful, objective, and thoughtful member of the school board.
Endorsements: NSEA (Northshore teachers, paraeducators, nurses), King County Democrats, 1stDistrict Democrats, 46thDistrict Democrats, 45thDistrict Democrats, former Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe, Rep. Derek Stanford, Kenmore Councilperson Brent Smith, Past Northshore Education Foundation President Rob Pickering.

Every child deserves an equitable world-class education to prepare them for lifetime success. That’s why I want to serve as a director on the Northshore School Board. As a mother of three, my family’s educational experiences go beyond general education to include both highly capable and special education programs. I became an advocate for all students while helping my own children.
I have served as a volunteer with several child advocacy organizations over the past decade. My work with Northshore Schools Foundation and PTA at the local, state, and national levels focused on improving the education our students receive. My experience includes working alongside parents, teachers, administrators, and legislators on policy committees to effect change. Education policies must both define and fund basic education while ensuring success for students.
I am ready to serve Northshore Schools to ensure students continue receiving a world-class education. I would appreciate your vote.
