Statement:

Along with many in our community, I believe our school district has a great opportunity to more comprehensively prepare our students for their post-graduation successes. Snoqualmie Valley students deserve the same educational options, choices and access as students in nearby school districts. The ability to take key classes earlier with less restrictions, can both inspire and allow students to realize their true capabilities, ultimately expanding their opportunities no matter what path they choose.  I do not see my opponent successfully leading in this area, and with my business experience and passion, I truly believe I will make a significant impact for our children while serving on the school board. I will work alongside parents, teachers and businesses in developing a district that opens-up opportunities and creates wide-ranging options.

Together we can expand opportunities for all our students!

Education: Master of Business Administration, Cornell University; Bachelor of Arts, University of Puget Sound
Occupation: Finance Director, T-Mobile | Current Vice President of School Board
Statement:

Our community has exploded with growth and our school district is thriving.  I am dedicated to maintaining this momentum for our kids.

As Vice President of the Board, I’m proud of our success: A new elementary school and a new Mt. Si High School that will provide excellent learning environments while keeping class sizes down; Boosted graduation rate to 92% from 77%; Improved math and language arts performance in elementary and middle schools through strong professional development for teachers.

If re-elected, I will keep pushing for: better state funding, improved college and career preparation, strong oversight of projects (on time / on budget), and improved district communication that’s clear, consistent, and caring.

I have the experience and a vision for our kids’ success.  Please vote for MacLean.
