Education: B.A. Public Relations & Communications, University of Washington
Occupation: Marine Corporate Risk Manager at Lynden, Inc.
Statement:

I am a Vashon graduate and parent of two McMurray students. As a school board member I will work to sustain our school district's academic excellence and utilize resources wisely. I recognize the importance of addressing diversity, varying ability levels and individual aspirations within the overall educational experience. I support serving special needs students as seamlessly as possible within the general education setting.

As a Vashon Schools Foundation board member, I have helped fund VISD initiatives I believe in such as Racial Equity, Mental Health & Suicide Prevention, STEM programs and Student Link. I have formed good working relationships with district staff and administrators.

I will foster engagement between the school district and the community. I will communicate what is going well at VISD, and work collaboratively with stakeholders on what needs improvement.

I believe in the promise of all our students. I would be honored to have your vote.
