Education: Fordham Law School, Doctor of Law; Lehigh University, B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting)
Occupation: Councilmember (Mayor); Attorney (Washington, New York, California, U.S. Supreme Court)
Statement:

Since taking office eight years ago I'm proud of the progress we've made. Under my leadership we have restored Woodinville's financial stability and established professionalism and respect at Council meetings. City processes have been streamlined, reducing costs and providing funds for roads, paving, flood control and the purchase of open space and the rail corridor for parks. We've preserved existing residential zoning while approving development and new roads downtown. We saved the Carol Edwards Center, enlisting the YMCA for operations, increasing programming and saving over $1,000,000 annually.

I'll continue supporting our wine and tourist industries, opposing the development of Sammamish Valley farmland.

I have served Woodinville regionally: Chair, Eastside Transportation Partnership; Chair, Sound Cities Public Issues Committee; PSRC Growth Management Policy Board; King County Regional Policy Committee.

Endorsements: 45th District Democrats, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene, King County Executive Dow Constantine, Representative Larry Springer, Representative Roger Goodman.

Experience: Mayor-Councilmember-Attorney-Prosecutor-U.S. Army Officer

Statement:

My wife and I teach our two young sons that respect and caring for others are the core values that make a good person. These values are also make Woodinville a great, small town, and why I am running for city council.

We as a community, can create a livable, walkable and sustainable downtown, emphasizing artisan businesses and tourism in balance with the precious valley landscape and Woodinville’s humble northwest character.

We need a council that works together to make educated decisions. I am not a politician and share the concern of many that council politics are preventing solutions as traffic congestion grows and our community changes without a sense of direction.

With a successful background in business development, I offer Woodinville my experience, my passion for our community and the values I have taught my children.

I hope I can earn your vote.
