It’s been an honor to serve on the Woodinville City Council for the past eight years.

During the recession, we used the downtime to plan for our next thirty years as a city. By focusing Woodinville’s population growth and infrastructure investment downtown we’ve accommodated our share of the region’s growth projections without upzoning neighborhoods. We’ve also made progress on downtown architectural standards, rehabilitation of the Old Woodinville Schoolhouse, and congestion reduction.

But there’s more to do! Woodinville must press hard to avoid a garbage transfer station inside city limits. Proposed King County zoning changes threaten farming in the Sammamish Valley. Locally, there are congestion and pedestrian projects that could languish without support from the City Council.

I’m endorsed by Attorney General Bob Ferguson, State Representative Roger Goodman, King County Sheriff John Urquhart, and King County Councilmembers Rod Dembowski and Claudia Balducci. I’d appreciate your vote!

Woodinville is a dynamic city that still has a wonderful sense of community for everyone. I believe that the council should work with our local business community to better manage our resources for the benefit of both our residents and visitors.

My wife and I have lived all our lives in the Woodinville area. Our daughter attended Northshore schools.

I am a former PTA president, a Golden Acorn recipient, and I have served on my church council. Professionally, I was one of the first pharmacist diabetes educators in Washington State, and I have served on the Washington State Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission for eleven years, two years as chair, overseeing about 36,000 licensees. I am currently co-chair of the UW fundraising campaign.

I take pride in being well-prepared, an active listener, and a doer. I will work diligently to make Woodinville the place where we all want to live.
