2017 general election
City of Snoqualmie
Council Position 6
Sean Sundwall
PO Box 682
Snoqualmie, WA 98065
(425) 922-5844
Since being appointed to City Council in mid-April, I have made it my mission to ask the difficult and uncomfortable questions of city staff, developers and citizens alike. In my view, it's the only way I can gain the knowledge I need to parse through the rhetoric and make the best decisions for the long-term benefit of Snoqualmie. Our great city is at a major crossroads. With the build-out of Snoqualmie Ridge near completion, the next round of development is on our doorstep. How (not if) we develop will largely determine the future livability of our city. My commitment to you is that I will represent the city with integrity and honor. I will govern with facts and not emotion. We have built something too great to risk regression. I have demonstrated the leadership to move us forward. Vote to retain Council member Sean Sundwall.
Snoqualmie is considering massive growth that will impact our quality of life forever. Having witnessed rapid expansion, I understand the consequences. I believe in smart sustainable growth, transparency and fiscal responsibility.
Property taxes and city fees have significantly increased. Residents should not be responsible for funding infrastructure expansion for developers. Our roads, schools, water and sewer are near capacity. Our city is considering approving 1200 homes, 191 additional apartments and a massive trucking distribution center adding to traffic congestion and impacting resources.
I studied Environmental Management at UC Davis while working as an Operations Manager and environmental community advisor. I have advocated regarding traffic impacts, environment, water, PCB contaminated Mill Site, and financial responsibility. I graduated from Snoqualmie Citizens Academy in 2013. My opponent was appointed by current leadership. Elect me and I will work hard to preserve and protect Snoqualmie’s natural beauty and resources. Citizens, I hear your voice.
