We all want to solidify the lifestyle and appeal of Normandy Park by sustaining our police, streets, and parks. As your voice on the city council, I listen, and I’ve heard loud and clear that people want us to analyze and implement solutions, and respect our tax dollars. I am committed to continuing to find revenue sources to reduce our reliance on future levies by doing due diligence on all financial options. To meet the challenge of a city that is primarily residential and truly short of commercial income opportunities, I led the city’s decision to increase our revenue by upzoning 1st Avenue South, I scrutinized revenue options as chairwoman of the finance committee from 2014 until 2017 and I was a leader in building our city’s contingency fund by $50,000/year. I’d appreciate your vote and will continue to be your voice on the direction and future of our City.

I am currently your Mayor Pro Tem, Finance Committee Chair and Police Safety Committee member. With your help I will assure we have the strongest police force available, demonstrate continued financial stability and advocate for no new taxes!

The NPPD in many ways identifies us as a neighborhood through community policing, a strong relationship with Marvista Elementary and truly close relationships with our citizens. Cops and public safety are my highest priority!

I believe citizens must know how their money is spent and have set the bar high for common sense financial health reporting. I have implemented Strategic Financial Reserves for that rainy day, assured we have clear financial policies and have successfully encouraged citizens to participate in our biannual budget process.

Lastly, I believe we should operate within our financial means and will not support the implementation of any new taxes!
