The next four years will be especially important ones for this City, and I look forward to continuing to provide direction as a councilmember. Regionally, I serve on the WRIA8 Salmon Recovery Council and the King Conservation District Advisory Committee.

Work has begun toward improved street safety and transit connections, stream restoration, better park facilities and town center vitality. We are already seeing results from some of these efforts. Where more planning and funding are required, implementation will continue throughout the next four years and beyond. I expect multiple community dialogues around these projects to identify desired service levels and funding mechanisms that residents can support – especially regarding our parks and the distribution of sidewalks and other street safety improvements.

The City has a strong record of leveraging limited resources to complete major projects. I am optimistic about these current initiatives, and the future of our City in general.
