I have been privileged to serve as Kirkland Municipal Court Judge since 2006.

For 21 years prior to becoming Kirkland’s Presiding Judge, I tried hundreds of cases as both prosecutor and defense lawyer.  Cases ranged from theft and DUI to rape, kidnapping and murder.

I live in the Kirkland vicinity and have strong connections to the community.  My two adult daughters also live nearby.

Most people first encounter the judicial system in municipal court.  I think it is important that judges serving community courts have the kind of deep experience and professionalism I bring to the bench.

I have worked many years to improve access to justice and court efficiency at Kirkland.  I have served continuously on the board with the District and Municipal Court Judge’s Association, as well as co-chairing the State’s Board of Judicial Administration.

I would be honored to serve as Kirkland’s Judge another four years.
