2017 general election
City of Issaquah
Council Position 2
There’s something very special about Issaquah. It shows in the way we live, work and care for our families here.
My family moved to Talus a decade ago. My kids attended Issaquah High, and my wife works at Pottery Barn.
I worked at KING 5 as Program Director where I led a team of 50 talented professionals. That experience taught me to listen well, ask hard questions and hold people accountable. We need these qualities at City Council.
With a strong economy bringing thousands of jobs – our future looks bright. These families need communities like Issaquah to call home. But we can’t afford mistakes like the landslide in Talus or the recent land giveaway in the Highlands. Let’s listen well, and then ask hard questions to manage growth, traffic and spending. Yes, together, we can make Issaquah better than ever!
I ask for your vote. Thank you.

Issaquah is home. I’ve raised my family, passionately volunteered and run a small business here, for the last 17 years. While serving on Council, the Land and Shore Committee and several regional Economic, Human Services, Public Issues and Conservation Boards, I have developed a deep understanding of the important issues impacting our community and region. Strategic planning and partnership development focused on city traffic solutions, infrastructure and balancing growth, while protecting our small town charm, established neighborhoods and beautiful environment, needs to be prioritized. Now more than ever, Issaquah needs experienced, solution oriented leaders, to work with regional partners on these pressing issues. I have worked to improve city policies surrounding housing, city zoning, pace of growth, traffic, transportation, economic vitality and open spaces, but much more work needs to be accomplished. I would be honored to receive your vote, so I can continue to advocate for our home.
