2017 general election
City of Bothell
Council Position 3
Vicki and her husband Jack have lived and raised their family in the Shelton View neighborhood for 27 years. She has been active in Bothell government, Boy Scouts, and their church.
As a member of the Landmark Preservation Board, Vicki helped initiate and support programs and policies to encourage preservation of historic resources. Her hard work helped create the Red Brick Road Park and insured the preservation of the North Creek School. She also worked with the community to save the Anderson School, which is now McMenamins.
Vicki understands that we need to balance our growth commitments with our community values. As a council member, she will be committed to delivering budgets that align with community priorities and are responsible to our citizens. She will work for smart growth and transportation, environmental concerns, seek recreational opportunities community wide, and encourage affordable housing, while maintaining our Bothell identity.
It has been an honor to serve you in the Wa. State Senate for 24 years. Together we have made a difference in the lives of our families, schools and communities. I am excited to run for Bothell City Council and am committed to assuring all voices are heard and valued.
I am a small business owner and I know the challenges small businesses face. I will work to attract and retain businesses being mindful of preserving historic main street, the culture of our communities, preserving parks and open spaces, across King and Snohomish County. I will work to improve transportation; access for pedestrians, cars, bikes and transit.
My husband Jim and I have called Bothell home the past 55 years. We raised six children in this community that was a safe place to live, work and play. I want to preserve that same environment for all future families.
