Statement:

I am excited to run for a council position to serve our community by asking for your vote. I believe my actions, past and present, will show you I am truly the best choice.

My priorities come from many years of involvement within Federal Way.  In forty years of business in Federal Way I have forged a strong sense of fiscal responsibility that will carry into serving you as a council member.

We must all work together to find lasting solutions to our gang violence, street drug use, and homelessness.  The well being and safety of our citizens depends on it. Bringing all stakeholders together in one broad based partnership will be a great start to building a strong economy.

Current: Board Member, SAFE CITIES., Advisory Committee, FUSION.  Past: commissioner, SK FIRE, FW CHAMBER president, FW ROTARY president.  Tom Murphy Mentor of the year, past FW Citizen of the year.

Statement:

Our city is changing before our eyes. I am concerned that the reasons why we all live here will slip away. Insuring Federal Way’s bright future and quality of life is a genuine concern of mine. I want safe neighborhoods and schools, a vibrant business climate that will bring family-wage jobs to Federal Way. What will the financial impact on our city’s budget by the Performing Arts and Event Center and Sound Transit be and still be able to fund additional police?

Citizens are concerned about rampant multi-family development without adequate roads, schools and parks. I share that concern. I don’t have all of the answers but I am willing to roll up my sleeves and get to work. We need safe neighborhoods and more transparency in our city government. Thank you for your vote. Facebook: Diana Noble-Gulliford For Federal Way

Education: Graduated from Olympia High School and Bates Technical College School of Nursing.
Occupation: Licensed Practical Nurse (Home Health and Hospice) for 23 years.
Statement:

I have spent many years working with our most vulnerable as a community health nurse while simultaneously serving in leadership roles for a variety of education, business, and community service organizations.

My commitment to Federal Way can been seen in my volunteer work, which includes managing a community garden and helping our homeless wash their clothes and connect with services. I am also the co-chair of the Homeless Mother and Children’s Initiative, to which I was appointed by Mayor Jim Ferrell, and I’m proud to be endorsed by our mayor, our state representatives, current city councilmembers, and many business and community leaders.

The commitment you have seen in me, from taking care of our citizens to serving and advocating for the least fortunate in our community, is the same commitment you can expect from me on the City Council. I look forward to working for you.

Statement:

I’ve been working in the Economic Services Administration for 25 years. My current role is Administrator at the Federal Way CSO.

I am responsible for insuring the delivery of public assistance programs to residents in this great city in an efficient and effective manner. Each year, the Federal Way CSO authorizes over 30 million dollars in benefits that go back into our local community and businesses.

As your councilmember, my top priorities are to ensure public safety by adequately funding the police department, promote crime prevention, strengthening partnerships between police department and community; economic development by attracting and retaining businesses; develop comprehensive plans to address homelessness in Federal Way; and ensure fiscal accountability in the city government.

I am a husband, father, public servant, and someone committed to listening and working with you to make Federal Way the best place for everyone.

I respectfully ask for your vote. Thank you.
