As your representative I’ll work to make Kent a safe, prosperous and welcoming community. My 28 years of experience in Finance and Project Management at Delta and Alaska Airlines enables me to be a good steward of Kent funds. The same passion for helping others that motivates my extensive community and charitable involvement also inspires me to serve you on the City Council, because the only legitimate end of politics is people.

Minimizing taxes, eliminating waste, leveraging technology, developing innovative funding mechanisms, facilitating job growth and business development, and prioritizing public safety are focus areas for me.

As an Army veteran I understand the importance of public service and dedication to duty. As the CEO of an international humanitarian non-profit I understand the importance of compassionate support for others. I have the experience, integrity and dedication to service necessary to do what’s best for Kent.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I am asking for the opportunity to serve as your voice in city hall. I have the great fortune of sharing this beautiful city with you. I am seeking the opportunity to serve as your advocate for positive change. As a parent of three school aged kids I am motivated to make Kent a better place for current and future residents.

In my view, the most significant issue facing our city is the looming revenue reduction caused by the Panther Lake annexation and the streamlined sales tax. My priority will be to lead the council towards business strategies which provide long-term sustainable funding solutions.

I have an inclusive leadership style strengthened by years of professional experience in behavioral health, affordable care enrollment and helping children and families navigate the foster care system.

You may have seen me pulling blackberries, planting, and cleaning up our parks. Or volunteering at NW Harvest, KentHOPE, Sunrise PTA and Kent food bank. I am passionate about Kent, which is where I grew up and now raising my 11 year old. I’m running because I want Kent to continue to be a great place to raise a family. I worked for the Kent City Council for 2 years.  I want to prioritize economic development; safeguard our neighborhoods; maintain our parks; and ensure every tax dollars is accountable to you.

My service includes: Chair, Kent Cultural Communities Board; Kent International Festival; Living Well Kent; Greater Kent Historical Society; and Kent Rotary.

As a 13 year resident of Kent and currently serving on the ShoWare and Kent Police Dept. Civil Service boards, I’m seeking a greater level of involvement and connection with the community and the processes that directly affects our families, affordability and quality of life. With 20 years of military service interacting with people from different nationalities, races, religions, ages and economic levels. I’ve gained wisdom and skills needed for successful resolution of challenging and complex problems.
