The Mt. Rainier Pool is one of Des Moines’ greatest assets: a year-round place where kids learn to swim, seniors stay active and families connect. As a Commissioner for the past four years, I've learned how much effort and funding it takes to keep this aging facility running. After 50 years of service, it now needs major renovations or even full replacement. In my next term, my top priority will be ensuring Des Moines continues to have a community pool.
